Road transport links every other mode of transport. It collects your goods from your premises, moves them between warehouses, ports and airports, and delivers them to their final address.
Cargo Express organises road transport adapted to your cargo: full truckloads, shared loads, palletised goods or larger items that need specific vehicles.
Road transport can be booked on its own or as part of an air, sea or international shipment.

- Delivery note or consignment note
- Commercial invoice or packing list, depending on the goods
- Cross-border documents and permits, for shipments leaving South Africa
- Abnormal load permits, for oversized cargo

Questions about this service
What is the difference between a full load and a shared load?
With a full truckload, the vehicle is reserved for your goods and travels directly. With a shared load, your goods travel with other shipments, which can reduce the cost for smaller volumes.
Can you transport oversized or very heavy items?
Oversized loads need adapted vehicles and, above certain dimensions or weights, special permits from the road authorities. Send us the exact dimensions and weight so that we can check what is required.
Do you also cross borders by road?
Cross-border road shipments require additional documents and customs formalities at each border. Tell us the destination and we will confirm whether and how it can be arranged.
